On October 1, 2015 nine-time Grammy-nominated powerhouse Jazmine Sullivan will lend her voice to stand with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCDAV) for a national day of awareness and will Take A Stand Against Domestic Violence in Washington, D.C. and across the nation. There will be a national “moment of silence” for the victims of domestic violence at 11am EST at the Capitol followed by a day of advocacy. Jazmine Sullivan, will join the NCADV at the capitol and will perform immediately following the moment of silence.

After a four-year hiatus from music, which was due to an abusive relationship, Jazmine made a triumphant return with the release of her highly anticipated third studio album Reality Show. Well received by media and fans, the album was a therapeutic project that helped Jazmine find her voice and share her story. Most recently, Jazmine made news when she posted on her Instagram about a recent shopping trip that reminded her of this relationship and how she found refuge at Pier1.  Returning years later for the first time, Jazmine admitted that she is in a better place and is very thankful for the support of her family, friends and her fans.

Jazmine is very honored to Take A Stand Against Domestic Violence with the NCADV and encourages her fans who may be going through abuse to seek help.  They can also search www.domesticshelters.org to find domestic violence programs in their area or call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE).
